Has anyone ever been depressed to the point of apathy? Where you begin to question if you really care all that much about your mental health...or anything in general?

I can't even convince myself about anything anymore.

Personally, I'm getting to the point where I'm not so sure I care anymore about myself, or anything around me.

I feel like a loose cannon.

My Pdoc says I have apathetic depression, so I need an activating antidepressant. I can't tolerate them though, so my depression improves on calming antidepressants, but the lack of desire to do more than the bare minimum, if I even manage that, is excrutiatingly troublesome.

Sometimes in the mornings, I get a strong sense of "Ah it doesn't matter if I go to work." The odd apathy always surprises me because I have never been apathetic about life until I was trying to study and found myself feeling/thinking that it just doesn't matter. I found that it is somewhat tied to my sense of hope about the future. So, yes. I have a tendency to feel apathetic about life too.
