I hate the day after Thanksgiving!~!!!!! My family wants to do things together--today they want to treat my mom to the movies, and asked me to come along. I explained to them that I don't have the money and my sister started pouting and whining about it. It's like this every year! They usually want to do something but I am always broke at the end of the month so I can't really afford to do anything. They somehow have it in their heads that I am lying when I say I am broke and they get mad!!!! They think that I am just avoiding them--but if they really want me to go so bad, then why don't they offer to pay for it? I am so tired of this!!!!

I don't think anyone should have to do something they don't want to...It isn't fair for you to be going through such an ordeal...
Thanks for this!

I agree. It's not fair for them to expect you to do something, but not understand if you can't. Their your family, and from what i've learned, they should help you.

I agree. It's not fair for you to be expected to do something every year when they know you can't. If someone offered to pay for you, that's a different story. Their your family, and should understand your reasons and be supportive enough to pay.
Thanks for this!
