My self worth issues have overcome me. I have always felt I wasn't good enough. Simple things as friends hanging out with other friends freaks me out into a frenzy because Im afraid they will start liking them better. Im tired of crying . Im tired of feeling worthless. I have been on cymbalta for one week and feel no difference. I really want to end this pain.

I'm not sure that the med will be effective but I do think it will need more than one week.
It's been my belief that self esteem comes from within and that your own actions are more important to healthy self esteem than the actions of others. Have you had any therapy to work on this issue? Poor self esteem can be remedied. Death can't be remedied. Why don't you give the med a bit more time and work on the self esteem.
Thanks for this!

It took two months for me to feel Cymbalta was doing good stuff, a month for any effect. Patience--it's worth the wait, too. Excellent stuff, I think.

Feel free to ignore the following questions...
Why do you think you have these feelings? When did the feelings start to become intolerable?

Here's hoping the Cymbalta "builds up to a therapeutic level" soon!

I just wanted to say that you ARE good enough, and that you don't have to live with this. Even when you've been overcome, there's always a way back up again. Life is made up of ups and downs, and I wish you the best of luck so please don't think to end it
Thanks for this!

I know from experience that the hardest part is when you start taking meds, before it builds up. It feels like it almost gets worse . . . but then it ALWAYS gets better. If you hang in there, you will see the results and feel the amazing difference the meds can do for you.
