When you are happy, you enjoy the music. But when you are sad, you understand the lyrics.

The identify so much with the above quote.

Snapshot of me…Borderline Personality, Depression, Anxiety, Low self esteem and other issues surrounding BPD which may not be appropriate to mention here.

Sad, lonely, hurting so much, wanting the emotional pain to end. Feel no one cares but what hurts more is that I'm not sure I care…well I am here in these forums, trying to navigate my way.

Yep, music is a pretty powerful thing. I listen to different genres depending on my mood actually.

I understand the whole BPD thing. It's hard and no matter what you feel, people do care. Sometimes it takes a while to realize that. I finally am after 7 years. So my advice is to stick with it and you'll find people who really care and really understand you. It's ok and normal to hurt too. And posting this means you're reaching out.

At the height of my disorder I had to pick songs that actually had a connection to something specific in my life, it got to the point where I would drain the battery of my ipod skipping songs, it became annoying after awhile.
