Hello Shery, This is only my opinion as I was diagnosed with depression a few months ago,and the pdoc thought I may be bipolar so she has given me a mood stabilizer and to keep a diary of my moods. AD's can bring on a mania. Is it a pdoc or a regular doc that you are seeing. I hope the treatment works for you. I'm on my 2nd AD in 4 months mainly because I felt no difference on the first one. I hope everything works out for you. You can always get a second opinion If you are not happy . Best wishes.

Anytime something doesn't feel or sound right, its always a good idea to get a second opinion. There are variations in the presentation of bipolar, and it can change dependant on the individual. Because the treament can vary and you want care most likely to help you, getting another Dr.s opinion wouldn't be a waste of your time.
