Is there anything? It is so difficult to verbalise. Does anyone else experience this inability to say anything?

Hi ScottWest,
I often feel like this. For me it comes from a some of the depressed feelings that I have like having nothing of worth to offer, and like I can't be around people and relate well to them. And I don't "do" a whole lot, doing is so valued in our society, so I never have "news" for people to chatter away about. Not interested besides. What's your experience? Take good care Gracez |

Absolutely. When you're depressed your mind it's hard to think of anything to say. You have to use all your energy just to maintain equilibrium. It's a very intense way of being and trivial chit-chat seems so inane. Still there is the urge to be with other people and interact. Here's a suggestion. I read the news. Even if I'm not interested. It gives topics of conversation that don't entail talking about yourself. It's like mental body armor. Try it. I bet it will help.
