I am so new at this, even figuring out how to use this site and start talking with others. I am going to a picnic today, but I have to bring my puppy. My family refuses to watch him. They are angry when I am home depressed or if I go out, they question where the money is coming from. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. They are miserable and want me that way. I am trying so hard to get better, but what does one do when your own family is against you?

It's hard to deal with family when it comes to stuff like that. The ones who should know you the best are often the ones who treat you the worst.

My regrets. I've encountered that before.

That's an exceptionally difficult situation. Therapy and meds can do little against a toxic environment. Counselors sometimes recommend a person in your position do what they can to create emotional and even physical space between themselves and the antagonist(s).
