So where to start. I started seeing a new therapist about 3 weeks ago. I really like her a lot but it is still taking time for me to open up.

After the last meeting with my doctor he told me I could try to ease off on my Seroquel. However that did not go well and I am back to my original dose. I had a pretty bad relapse while trying to lessen the dose. I was feeling better after returning to my original dose but now am starting to feel off again.

I find myself to be very irritable out of the blue and I am having trouble sleeping even though the Seroquel used to knock me out. I don't want to mess with any of my meds right now unless I absolutely have too.

Not even sure what I am looking to get out of writing this except to maybe just to put it down in words.

I had to go back many many times before my medication mix got right. Don't be afraid to tell you doc that things aren't right yet. A good dr. will understand how this works and won't be impatient with you. If he is then you might want to change drs. or get a second opinion.
Good luck

Talk over this with your therapist. She could help you work through the tough process of weaning off meds. I'm no doctor, but I think that these side effects should stop after a week. Just wait it out for several more days and see how you feel.

My meds were working great for over three years. Then in March I had a relapse and that is when my doctor added the Seroquel. So after being on it for three months he told me I could try to ween off of it since I didn't like the side effects. I tried a lower dose for 10 days and had a bad relapse so I went back up to my original dose. I was felling better for about a week but now I am feeling terrible again.

I wrote my therapist an email last night with things that would take me forever to actually say out loud. I see her again on Tuesday so we will see what she has to say. I see my doctor again September 27th so until then I will have to stick it out with the meds I have.

You can always try to move up the appt. with the doc. if you can't manage till then. Worth a try, at least. Your email to your T sounds like a great idea. Sorry you're having trouble.
