I am new to this forum, discussion thing but certainly not new to depression. I am in need of all the support I can get.
I am Dual-Diagnosed and I am in the grips of a pretty tough depression for the last three months.
I am hoping to be a help for others and a recipient of support from some folks who have been where I am and know what a struggle chronic depression can be.
THANK YOU! <font color="blue"> </font>

Welcome to PC. I have been battling bipolar depression since I was a teen & I'm now 52 so I can identfiy with you. I'm on medication now that helps quite a bit, but I still had a bad episode about a month ago where I overdosed. I'm still shaky from that. Scared that I would resort to that kind of behavior again when I hadn't done it (thought about it a lot) for a long time.

Are you getting treatment for your depression? Many here have been helped with medication & therapy & some are able to function pretty well without either. I'm definitely in the medication camp, but I wish I didn't have to rely on it.

Anyway, welcome & hope to get to know you through your posts.--Suzy

I should have marked my previous post with a trigger since I mentioned my overdose. Sorry I forgot to do that.--Suzy

Hi What can you tell me about PsyRehab (posted in your profile)? Im always on the look out for new resourses for the many survivors I meet around the USA on line and in my groups and so on. The name itself sounds really interesting. But every time I do a serch on line I come up with research facilities. So I tried going by your name posted here and there doesn't seem to be a mental health professional by this name. So Im guessing for on line use you don't use your given name, which is cool alot of people don't and thats actually the safest way to be on line. But I would really like to know what PsyRehab is.
