dealing with impulsive and painful thoughts...

searching for stillness...

wondering, where do you find stillness and peace?

Lost....

also, I feel like a complete and utter nobody, a horrible, unlovable, unwanted person who nobody would ever want to get to know. I don't feel like I'm worthy, but I wonder if anyone has any caring words for me.... Feel like I'm drowning here

(((Fuzzybear)))

Where do you find stillness and peace? A straight-jacket might help, but what if your nose begins to itch? You could wander far into the desert, but you're right - the sand and cactus would probably consider you unworthy. Vultures might be interested, but it would be difficult befriending a vulture - you'd have to sleep with one eye open.

The safest bet would be to find the stillness and peace within you, and be your own best friend.

I've never been able to fully control my thoughts, my body, or the world around me. Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns - like a roller coaster. Hold on tight if it becomes terrifying. But if you have the courage, go ahead and throw your arms up in the air and enjoy the ride.

When the ride (life) is over, you can thank God for the opportunity. If the ride did nothing but turn your stomach, go ahead and spill your guts all over God. If you hated the entire ride and have the courage, you can smack him across the face and say "Don't you EVER do that to me again!!!"
Thanks for this!

In the eye of the storm. Go to the center, and let it whirl around you. There has to be a peaceful spot inside of me that holds on to nothing. There is virtually no friction.

Otherwise, go canoeing on a lake where there are no powerboats, like a nature reserve. Probably my first answer is more useful for you.

Last resort, deeply imagine a peaceful thing, like the canoeing scenario.

Stillness and peace aren't constants. I hate to say that but I think it's true for most of us.
There will always be troubles and pain and the occasional catastrophe.
Some people feel them more than others. You may be one of those people. I don't think that says anything bad about you. I think it says something good about you.
I do know you aren't horrible, or unwanted and unlovable
Love yourself.
Thanks for this!

(((Fuzzy))) - sorry you're struggling and feeling bad about yourself. I find life is like a roller coaster sometimes - we need to snatch the little happy moments and be patient when we get on a downward slope. Give yourself some extra care - I find eating super healthy and getting outside on a nice day helps.Hope you feel better soon.

I acknowledge you feel that way, and I understand, if only imperfectly, those feelings are built on massive, toxic foundations.

But I and your many friends do not see you the way you feel yourself. You're a treasure, and your lacking stillness and peace detracts nothing from the high regard in which we hold you.
