I can't bear being around people for more than a couple of hours, then I have to run back home to my hidey hole. But Sundays are really bad. I look forward to Mass and am actively involved and love all our church community. But then I go home alone and feel so sad, so lonely. I think about getting a small dog, but I really can't afford one. And my past experience with pets is that the care overwhelms me and I have to give them away. Then my heart breaks again. Wish there was something I could do to lift the depression and sadness. Have Borderline Personality Disorder. It's just recently diagnosed. I'm hoping the therapy for it (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) helps me accept my feelings, even if it can't make them go away.

Aw so sorry Is there someone from your church you could visit after Mass? I get lonely when my hubby goes out but I cope with that by being on PC for hours on end!

I also have BPD. Did you know there is a forum for it under 'Personality Place'?
