I have just made new discoveries about being the adult child of (both) narcissistic parents. I think I'm suffering from depression. I have been on 50mg Zoloft for about 3 yrs (started for PMDD, THANK GOD for complete hysterectomy!). I have recently stopped taking Zoloft). I will be contacting my GP doctor in the morning. Anyone want to share what meds have been successful for them?

Did this depression come on after you stopped the zoloft? If so, it could be because you stopped taking the Zoloft. In that case you could start taking it again. It would be hard to say which drug would work best for you. Your doctor would be the best to decide that.

Hello & Welcome, Easyas3.14 ("Easy as pi/e?"). Best wishes on getting in to your GP doctor quickly.

At what point in life did you first start exhibiting depression symptoms? (No need to answer the question here; it's something for you to consider.)

In my case, no antidepressant medication or combination has done much for me except to possibly take the edge off the illness.

Please keep posting and make yourself at home.
