There some days I wish I didn't think so much, it just causes me to worry too much and put myself down a lot. It can be very annoying when it come to make choices that need to be made decisisive and can even affect my studies by putting me in a bad mood and distracts me. I feel a lot of the worrying is of future things, dwelling on past resentments/what I feel are failures and about where my future is to be when I feel things are uncertain/unknown. In many ways it can even affect my self-esteem and even my attitude on how to approach things. I stat off with an expectation of failing, so when I try something I'm not surprised and even feel desereving when I actually do. It also give me problems with motivation too. I'm more then open to suggestions if any are willing.

Is there anything physical you can do to help distract yourself? I've been reading that exercise is a very good way of coping with depression, better if you can find something you enjoy doing regularly. It releases endorphines and burns up tense energy so you feel calmer and more peaceful afterwards. Since it sounds like tension and anxiety are your biggest problems, this might be a good place to start.
Harder to do, (trust me, I still struggle with it regularly) is to try to stop approaching situations with the expectation of failure. Cautious optimism is easier than just assuming the best in all cases. It's a little like wearing a bike helmet. You generally assume you won't need it (optimism!), but if you hit a stick and fall off, it pads the impact rather than you just smacking face-first into the ground (but cautious!).

That all said, we're here to help each other, so keep posting and we'll try to talk you through things.

Sometimes when you expect to fail you don't get dissapointed, do you? It's a safe bet right. You didn't say if you were taking any medication.

Well I do love exercising, but haven't been able to fit in a schedule exercise, like a run or shadow boxing anymore, like I use to when I when I was younger and felt this way or either that when I do try I don't commit for very long (i.e. I'd go for a run 3 times a week, but for only about a month, then just kind of loose motivation or don't plan it in my schedule)

In a way I do and then I beat myself up afterwards for doing just that. I'm not on any medication as of yet, still trying to figure out if this something that can be treated just by thinking differently and making changes, however when I see my doctor I did plan on bringing that up
