Iam taking control of my Compulsive issues, but the depression hovers over me like a rain cloud. Thursday Iam taking a math test, it will determine if I can get in my courses next semester. I have already failed it twice. I feel like a complete failure. I have two math tutors and a ton of guide books, and Iam still struggling. I dont know what to do. I can't get my head above water. I just want to quit. How can I get rid of this feeling? If I fail the test, what will be my future? I feel so worthless. Can some one help me?

Sorry you're feeling so low. I know I suck at math so I wish I could help. Have you been tested for a learning disability? It could be the cause. Or just some people really don't get math. It doesn't make you worthless, it just means your talents lie in other areas.

Hope your test goes well.

On top of my math issues, I do have a learning dissability. It takes me longer to understand things. I wish I could switch brains with a smart person, then all my problems would be solved!

Don't we all wish... *sigh*

I was just curious, I have a learning disability too.

I do hope you do well on your math test. Just breathe - you know the information, you just need to "spit it out" on the test.

Take care.

I know it is so hard daisy but if you can concentrate on the test and not anything that will happen if you do not do well then I think it will help. Just do the best you can. That is all you can ask of yourself. Please PM me if I can help. I have felt very nervous and stupid many times before tests. Just try and concentrate on math, nothing else right now. Please take care and good luck.

daisy, do you realize you may have special compensation regarding test taking? Please check with the school's counselor regarding what accomodations they will make for you. Some of the accomodations can be more time to take tests, special testing times, taking tests in a smaller, quieter room alone or even someone to read the test questions to you. Please tell them or remind them that you do have a learning disability. That doesn't mean you can't learn, you just have to do it the way YOU learn Down and out
