Hi,
I'm taking effexor XR right now, and 2 days ago, my right hand started shaking really badly for about 1 hour.
Has anyone had this experience? It REALLY scared me. I went to see my Dr. and she said it wasn't the medication because it came on too suddenly, so she upped the meds, saying I was still too depressed. So frustrating! I feel as if she wasn't listening to a word I was saying. She said that I didn't want to take it and I need to. The medical student said: "maybe it's a panic attack" but those aren't the symptoms of a panic attack. I felt like I had so little control... felt like I was just being pushed aside as a mental patient...

tremors can come on from depression and anxiety because I get real shakey and lots of tremors when under stress or in a depression. so do some friends of mine. When I did get tremors related to the medication I got them right from the first time I took the medication so maybe it is from these points of views that your prescribing professional is coming from. she may be also trying to see how much of it is from depression and anxiety and how much is medication induced. if it is medication related it will get worse if it is depression anxiety related it will stop.

Hang in there.
