I have an online friend that I have know for about two years. We have video chatted and emailed and texted and all that crap on an almost daily basis.....
I know her real name and her city (medium sized city - NOT small). Yesterday she told me she is "going to end it all". WTF - so, am I supposed to call the police in her city and send them on a wild goose chase? Am I just supposed to accept it and forever feel guilt. Messing up my head............. ![]() |

I'd say yes, call a suicide hotline and see if they can help you first. If not, then call the police, it could be a matter of life and death, as she is probably quite serious!

You have a phone number. They can get an address. I've done the same for a friend that's 3 hours away, and it was life or death b/c she tried.

I'm sorry your friend put you in this situation...IMO, it's passive-aggressive to dump & run like that. There's no reason to feel guilt, as it sounds like you're doing everything you can.
