I have these thoughts fequently like I want to jump off a cliff or jump into the sea or crash my car into a wall. I dont feel scuicidal, but I want to feel a buzz. I feel like it will give me a high. I do feel very excited thinkng about it actually.

Absolutely!!

I have a number of things (I will not list them - so I do not upset anyone). Sometimes they are very strong, but most times it is more of simply a "thought" that I know I would never do.
Thanks for this!

I have tons of thoughts like that. I don't like mine.

I have thoughts like these too. Worse when I'm depressed. I call them pop-up thoughts. I never know when I'm gonna have one.
Thanks for this!

Me too. For some reason I link it to an adrenaline rush. Maybe I need to go on a roller coaster....

Yes I do, I've had them since I was young and have never told anyone about them. It's comforting that others have them too though I don't have them as much now as I use to

Is it that we dont want to die but don't care if we do? It seems to come across like that to me. Thanks for all your posts. They mean soooo much to me.

I have had those flashes of crazy. I feel my body get white hot and then the vision pops up. Usually it happens when I see people doing stupid things, like driving around a corner and texting at the same time. I felt the white hot, sweat, and then pictured violently pounding her face to a pulp just for being so stupid and risking other peoples lives. I don't know why stupid things that people do make me want to react this way.

You need to ask this question in a pysch forum, you do see the humor in that right?

I have many many crazy spur of the moment thoughts and many of them have got me in trouble or embarrassed.

There was a quote in a movie I watched one (unfortunately I forget the title) - "I'm terrified of heights. Not because I'm afraid I'll fall but because I'm afraid I'll jump." I backed up the video and rewatched that several times. I had never realized other people thought that way before I saw that.

I'm always drawn to overpasses even when I'm not actually feeling self-destructive.

I totally understand...even while I don't understand why it happens. My two most frequent ones are 1. Wanting to touch a hot stove (seems so stupid to say it) and 2. Closing my eyes while driving...just for a short while. Just to see what might happen.
Thanks for this!

Go ziplining or bungee jumping! Maybe you just need that adrenaline rush. Makes you feel and alive and exhilarated. I won't do it thought, too scary!
Thanks for this!
