Not sure how many here get these experiences?

Was at work today and during the morning it was the 'same old same old', wrapped up in unpleasant thoughts and notions that didn't feel like they were ever going away... I started to write about it, to put onto paper what I was feeling and I guess argue with myself in written form... and WHAM I had a moment of panic but then my brain seemed to clear, the pressure in my head dissipated and things were good.

Lasted about 30 minutes before the thoughts started coming on strong again.

Does anyone have techniques or knowledge of how to keep onto these moments? Why is it only fleeting?
