love and affection are the best for me, though they are the hardest for me as i seem to subconsciously steer clear of them in fear of becoming worse
so i use music, something i consider to be the universal language of love and attempt to create stories with sounds, thats the time i feel most alive currently even though its hard to make myself dive into the musical abyss lately
Thanks for this!

Visiting the animals at the SPCA gets me out of my head.

Swimming makes me feel alive.

But here's an excercise for times you find hard it to enjoy anything.... try to imagine you are an alien how just came to this planet. It's your first day. You heard it's beuatiful and always wanted to go there. Notice the mundane details. Enjoy the world.[/QUOTE]

It works. Check out the grass with frost on it. Or how your lungs feel full of fresh air. Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten.

I had someone in my life that made me feel alive but they recently passed away. Now there is nothing.

Running in nature. Also reading a novel that is meaningful and absorbing. Sometimes films or particular programmes on TV.

Happy meet-ups with friends or acquaintances.

Dance classes, performing in Carnival are times when I feel elated. These experiences allow me a temporary escape from the depression. Of course , just listening to my music collection can be energizing as well.
