I can't sit on the phone to try to contact a suicide prevention hotline, but I can kind of hide a chat. The problem is none of the chat things work. I tried them last week and they flat out didn't work in either Chrome or Internet Exploder.

I would bleed out long before I could reach my therapist or wife so I'm not even sure what to do next time.

Does anyone have a good contact that I can stealthily contact without having the plant listen to and interrupt my call?

BTW, I'm not a teen or a veteran. There are gobs of text lines for teens and vets. I guess 40-year old lab techs are just supposed to off themselves for the good of the community or something.

Well, no, I like you, I'd prefer you didn't off yourself.

You might try this organization for an online chat with a volunteer. They are a religious (Christian) group run by the Crystal Cathedral megachurch in So. Cali, but for the most part they don't push the religious aspect very much. I've done the chat with them a few times, and it is helpful.

It may be something to do with your computer setup, I've used both IE and Chrome without problems, even works with Safari on my iPad.

newhopenow.org

It's 24/7 - if it says not available, just wait a couple of minutes, that just means all of the volunteers are chatting at that time.
Thanks for this!

Thanks MotownJohnny, I'll give them a shot. (Says they're unavailable right now. Lol, the irony.)

Call your local psyche hospital. When I worked there we talked to many suicidal people
