Not really at all.....I'm pretty new here. And I am not interesting at all....So......

I see on your home page that there is a section that tells you who the last ten people are that visited your page and the total number of people that have visited.

I understand if I say something odd or mean or strange, but I don't think that I do. I also understand a natural curiosity.....I guess. Also if I PM someone, that counts too. But I don't PM hardly ever....

So....am I missing something?

Perhaps I'm questioning whether it's beneficial to have this information in my already damaged brain....

Oh....eta....I am not talking about the bit where you lovely people leave me such nice messages...I mean the other bit...the little rectangle on the right on the bottom

(and, to all you funnies that will now deliberately "visit" my page....I see you. Oh yes, I see you)

Hi sophiesmom, well there you go..............proof that you ARE interesting!!
I could/can say it but apparently so have others visiting your home page!!
And......nice to be interesting!!!!!!
But you do have some really nice posts too so naturally people would be more interested in getting a bit more of "where you're coming from"/would like to see "a bit more of you".
But I occasionally drop in on other peoples home pages/threads if I really want to reply to something they've threaded/posted but see the potential of "putting my foot in it". So I may just check out, in case I have to adjust my reply. And I know that occasionally if I do that I'm going to find that I aren't going to be coming anywhere near the mark if I do reply......really want to......but......
So enjoy the popularity!!!!

You won't see me... I'm invisible :ninja: (you can set that in your preferences).

Joke aside, perhaps do not see it as a bad thing. That people are visiting your page... if not posting a greeting, demonstrates that your presence here is interesting and that you've made some mark on the community.

As a whole this is a help site and as such I highly doubt there is any malicious intent... so take it as a compliment of sorts

Here I go........I am going to visit your page now!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!

You are quite interesting if people are visiting your page. People are just interested in seeing who you are, maybe what you're about. I wouldn't get paranoid about it, I would take it as a compliment as others have said.

Enjoy the popularity!!!!!

Huh i didn't understand if you meant you had alot of visitors or not very many. I don't think I have ever really thought to go to someones home page unless I get on of those notifications thingys.

Oh, great...

Now I'm going to have to go look on my profile page, and get all weirded out. Then, I'm going to have to look at the people's profile who were looking at mine. This is going to take up my precious stalking time that I put aside for ....well, best not to warn them.

Muuhahaha... uh uh cough cough uh hum... MUUHAHAHAA

I think you are, even if you dont see that about yourself! What makes you think that you are not interesting? Maybe deep down you want to be invisible, because being interesting draws attention, and that means...............
Sorry Sophiesmom I am ranting... again.

That's a pretty interesting way of looking at it. I actually like it when people view my page and send messages. It feels as though someone is understanding at least. I don't think that you have anything to worry about regarding page views, unless someone starts getting creepy and tries to contact you to get information or something. Cyberstalking is pretty obvious though so I think that the signs would be very clear on that. From what I've known of you, meaning the few answers that you've written when I have posted, you seem like a nice person and quite helpful, and I at least appreciate any help when I can get it. So you're fine, don't worry!

Hi Sophie's mom
Also, sometimes, if you are using a tactile device, you may click on the wrong link, for example, instead of clicking on the thread you can click on the link that goes to the profile of the author, accidentally. Some of the hits could be gotten by accident. But, anyway, you seem to be a very interesting person, so that is why you get many visits

Hi Sophiesmom--

Of the pages I've looked at it was only because I wanted to know more about someone that I thought I had something in common with. (I also check what they have listed in their Bio portion since I have no clue what to write in mine.)

I'm aware that my name shows up as having visited though...I didn't think I was in stealth mode. (I don't operate in stealth mode, but it would be handy

That makes sense...but it makes me feel as if I should have something for them to look at, I guess....

I don't have anything in my profile. I guess I didn't even think about it.

Are you talking about the 'Invisible Mode' checkbox in the 'Edit Options' part of your user settings? If so, I think that only prevents other members from seeing if you're online or offline, but not from knowing if you visited their profile. If there's another way of preventing others from seeing that you've been to their profile, I'd love to know for the sake of privacy. Thanks.
