I happened on this information on depression management on TED Talks on YouTube - takes about 20 minutes to watch. It seemed worth viewing and a lot of the ideas can be implemented at home. Just thought I would share with anyone looking for new ideas.

Thanks for this!

Ilardi's book is very good. He's got some very good concepts, and this video summarizes his book "The Depression Cure". I agree with his point of view, and when I wasn't in the depths of depression and not thinking of ending it all, his six steps to getting well made perfect sense. Now that I'm in a deep depressive episode, medication is helping me turn things around...thanks for posting this link

I just watched it. I wish it was longer! I'm already in the habit of doing some of this stuff and it really does work.

Thanks for telling us about this video.

Wow thank you for sharing! My therapist had suggested the omega 3/6 via fish oil and b vitamins but I never bothered with it. I think I may need to now.

His message is so hopeful to me. I mean, wow. I don't want to be back on meds again if I can help it and I think I'm going to look into this book. Again -- thank you for sharing. This might have been a bright spot in my day.
