It's like the depression multiplies. I just noticed this the past few days. I don't really go outside and my blinds are closed.

I tend to get more depressed after the sun goes down too. When I'm doing really badly, I fear nights.

You are not the only one. My depression is always worse at night. For that matter so is my anxiety. I can manage it best when I am doing something and interacting with people. But when the lights turn off and it is just me in the dark...
Relaxation techniques help sometimes but, yeah, nights are rough |

3AM, if I'm up at that time, is when my worst thoughts hit. Now I try to get to bed before that haha. Generally I find the mornings most difficult because getting up sometimes feels like the worst thing in the world but the moment everyone else goes to bed is really when depression tries to club me in the face with negative feelings and bad urges.

Yeah, I certainly fear nights, especially when I feel myself spiraling throughout the day.
Daylight is distracting. People are awake and cars are honking and you have things you need to get done. But night is (literally) dark and quiet and you have to sit with yourself. Some days, nights are almost too much. I feel you.

Not crazy at all. My depression tends to be worse at night. I guess during the day, there is sunlight and possibility... to get up, be active, do something. Night comes around, you haven't; it just reinforces how you feel about yourself. There is also more distraction and activity during the day. And if you suffer from insomnia, nighttime can be hell.
