hi, my bipolar/depression friend sleeps endlessly and gets agitated and distant for many days at a time.....what can i do

Listen, don't judge, accept them as they are depression and all, don't try to fix them with all kinds of if you would just do this....

They are in a deep depression and all you can do is encourage them to get the help they need. Sometimes my family has just straight up told me, get up I am taking you to mental health and that has worked but it may not. I have sought out treatment many times in crisis so it is not that hard for me. I didn't want to go through all the hassle but i drug myself through it.

Read the depression and bi polar sections to get a better understanding of what it is like for us. Very common to sleep for days on end when in a depression. That is how I get.

Possibly on low end of bi polar spectrum...trying to decide.

Male, 50

Fetzima 80mg
Lamictal 100mg
Remeron 30mg for sleep
Klonopin .5mg twice a day, cutting this back
