It's taken me a long time to learn to tell others my feelings, and it's just kind of blown up in my face. How do you keep all the pain inside without going insane?

First take in some deep breaths. In and out. Over and over if you have to. That's what I have learned to do when EVERYTHING is going haywire. Then try and give yr self a break. Give yr self time to relax with no distractions. I'd love to help you if you could elaborate as to what is going on? What has got you feeling like this? Something must have happened...we're here to help. Have you tried to talk to someone about yr illness and they didn't listen?

I'm new to this site, but I'm here tonight because I, too, am ready to go crazy because I can't share with anyone else who understands (and the once a week pdoc therapy is only a drop in a bucket when you're in pain). I guess we need to learn to release the pain safely on this website where others understand us, to reduce the level of pain within us and keep us from going 'insane'. Good luck! ![]() |

I'm so sorry you are losing yr best friend. That hurts so much. I will say that nothing is wrong with you. Sounds like you are dealing with alot right now. It's so challenging when everything negative is happening all at once. I tend to isolate so I only have a couple friends myself. But I don't trust people either so that's part of my problem. I try and make friends at work but when I call them they seem too busy to talk. It's scary to put yr self out there to try and make new friends. Financial issues are very stressful too. You've got alot on yr plate. Be easy on yr self. Do you have a therapist and pdoc you can talk to?

I think it's really important to let things out if you're in pain. You say you're losing your best friend and have no other friends. Until you make new friends, please come on this site and share with us. Just so you can get things out to someone. I agree that when someone's in real emotional pain, a once-a-week therapist appointment just doesn't cut it.

You don't.
You have to find a way to let it out or lose sanity.

I've kept it in for many years slowly now its starting to leak out. Safest is to get it out right away some way.
