Antidepressants have different effects for different people so make sure your your doctor does a good evaluation. I tried a few different antidepressants and im currently on wellbutrin. I was on Effexor but it put a lot of weight on me and made me very mushy. They do work though especially combined with therapy.

Good luck at your appointment (or I hope it went well, whatever the case may be), BrokenGlass. I hope you get the help (anti-depressant?) you need. Please keep us posted.

How many meds were you given?

Imho, when starting meds, it's better to start with ONE thing... otherwise you will not what is causing the side effects and what is actually helping. And you may overwhelm your body.

good luck anyways.

Hey BrokenGlass, you've got 10 times more courage than I do, getting yourself diagnosed and getting meds. Good for you, I really hope you can feel better again .
Thanks for this!

She stated earlier Klonopin, Prozac, and birth control. Pretty standard in the US.
