My work has decided that I'll be off on my short term disability for four weeks. Honestly I have no idea what the heck I'm going to do for four weeks. My fiancé is gone for his job so it is me and the dog. And all I've ever done is either college or work. My hobbies aren't exactly there. I'm not sure what to do with my time that is constructive.

Ideas???

1. walk the dog a lot
2. learn an (affordable) instrument
3. take up painting or another art form
4. get recipes online and cook tasty food
5. write
6. exercise
7. take up drinking (just kidding)
8. read about topics that have always interested you

Hi there. I'm new to the forums. I have a question for you. What kind of reaction did you get when you decided to go on short term disability? Was you family, friends, fiance supportive?

I'm currently 8.5 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and really suffering with my depression and anxiety. I'm thinking about taking time off work because the idea of going to work scares me, even though I have great friends there. Any advice?

Thanks for your post!

I will! I love cleaning oddly enough. It makes me feel better when everything is clean and organized.
