I've been feeling pretty down lately. I've research for a cure to depression besides therapy and medication...and I learned that a hug can help with the disorder or just simply talking to someone because your body releases oxytocin. Anyway, I've suffered from dysthymia or minor depression for a few years, but I was able to overcome it with social support at least for awhile. :/ Unfortunately, I have difficulty with connecting with others offline, so I don't have any friends at the moment. Hoping for a 1 on 1 chat with someone.

I have trouble connecting with others, too, though I find that enjoying temporary interactions for what they are helps some. I'll often chat with the lovely ladies making my coffee or the guys behind the counter at Big Bowl Chinese because I imagine it's pretty boring standing there all day.

Hope things start looking up for you soon.

Thanks for this!

Thanks, I hope so too. Small interactions are a great way of connecting with people. You can discuss various topics later on.
I survived off of smaller social interactions after my ex broke up with me. Since, I'm not in school, I don't go out much, so I haven't really talked to people (face to face) outside of home besides yesterday when I ordered food. It wasn't anything compared to school. I felt very anxious and inadequate. :/ </3
