I'm a 31 year old female dealing with major depressive disorder and panic attacks. I have been on antidepressants for almost 10 years now. I have tried almost every kind of medication. I was on Lexapro 30mg for a long time and still having severe panic attacks. My psychiatrist and I decided to try Zoloft. We cross tapered the meds over the span of 10 days. It has been 2 weeks since the beginning of the cross taper and most days have been good. Today, however, was rough. I felt light-headed and in a fog. I am lacking motivation and feeling very tired. I got into an argument with my boyfriend over something stupid and cried for almost 3 hours. I have some intrusive thoughts but no plans to hurt myself. Do I just need to give the Zoloft more time? My doctor said it may take three weeks for the new meds to kick in. Is this the Lexapro leaving my system?

Hello, ktsilver6. Please ask your doctor. We can only speculate with inadequate information.
