I have a history of depression and one common thing I've noticed, and I have no idea most of the time when it's going to rain, but generally a day or two before had I start getting moody, or just extremely down and after the rain has quit within a few minutes I'm feeling ok, not happy or anything but I've always wondered about it.

I know when it is a cloudy day before looking outside because it feels like my spirit is crushed and I have no energy and feel hopeless. Part of it may have to do with low atmospheric pressure. I think that when it rains and the storm clears out, the atmospheric pressure goes back up, and those of us sensitive to that get our energy back with the high atmospheric pressure.

Depression for many of us has a very seasonal component. Traditionally for years mine came at the same time of year every year three or four times. I could set the calender by it.

Circadian rhythms are daily as well as seasonal. It could be related.

I live in Seattle and it rains a lot here. I'm used to it. Rain doesn't really affect me that much. I like sunny days better though.
