Hello Everyone,

I have been diagnosed with moderate depression and have been prescribed Zoloft.

I've been dealing wit a number of issues in my life the past two years. Ending a long time friendship, going back to college, weight loss/weigh gain (I had lost 130 pounds but have gained all ten pounds back), turning fifty, and failed love relationship. I don't feel well mentally, emotionally, or physically.

I'm very fortunate to have found a doctor who believes in treating the whole person. She is has referred me to a therapist who I will be seeing for the first time on Monday.

I'm tired of feeling the way I do.

I hope you feel better soon. The meds works slowly, but they do work. Things do get better!

Welcome to pc. It does sound like you have had a lot of hard stuff to deal with. I am 52 and seems like lots of stuff happens after you turn 50. It is sounds like you are working to improve your mental and physical health and that is a good thing. Best wishes to you.
Thanks for this!

Hey I am in Michigan too.

Welcome to PC. I think you will like this site. Participation is key just like with therapy.

I am also 50 and life didn't turn out as I had envisioned it. Somewhat of a turning point in life at 50.
