New to the forum. Depression runs in my family. I know that I need to get it checked, but scared to because of people finding out and treating me different. I had an issue at work that made it come back again. I'm trying to figure out how to deal with them without giving up the things I love. I did not workout the last few days and have barely ate. I really hate this because it makes me feel like crap when I don't want to and I'm afraid to speak to anyone because it could get back to people at work.

Hello Woman strong and welcome to PC! I'm glad you found your way to our depression forum.
I think the best thing you can do is go to your primary doctor and talk to him about this. I don't think people at work will find out about this because doctors can't talk about patients with anyone. Unless you tell people yourself, no one will know what you're seeing your doctor for. ![]()

Thanks. My mom dealt with it 20 years ago and I know she will freak out if she finds out that I have depression. It's hard to talk to people about it because they don't understand what I'm going through.
