Hoping it would help
My deaf dog didn't even respond

Screaming is quite a healthy coping mechanism. If I had the inclination and was not concerned about creating bad blood with my neighbours I would be quite happy to primal scream in my garden now and again... wanted to do it at hospital a number of times but I knew the staff would come running and it might trigger off other patients

As for your dog... go give it some attention, pets are very therapeutic and the interaction might do you the world of good.
