I have lost count of how many meds I has tried in the last 18 months.
Is or has anyone taken Brintellix? I had never heard of it until today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It is a new SSRI but acts on a wider range of receptors. I have heard it is more effective than the older ones. I have not taken it. It was an option but I chose Fetzima, a new SSNRI.

Dr first suggested Fetzima but then I would have to go off the Wellbutrin too. So he went with Brintellix.

I've tried Brintellix and Fetzima. Brintellix is supposed to be the most potent and effective SSRI since it targets 7 of the 5-htp receptors, however it didn't work for me. Fetzima, is an SNRI, which typically work much better than SSRIs generally for depression...but Fetzima made me too agitated. According to a study at John Hopkin's, Cymbalta's actually supposed to be the best AD, but everyone is different. Personally, I love Nefazodone, and Cymbalta! Good luck! Btw, they're finding that the SNRIs don't poop out as much or even at all.

I was on Cymbalta, Wellbutrin and Latuda. Since I had maxed out on Cymbalta he decided to change it.
Thanks for the info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
