It is the first day of vacation with my family and they are already starting to trigger me. I am not going to last the whole week with them. They think it is fun to push my buttons. I seriously want to punch a wall. I can't handle this.

i'm sorry.

do you have any coping skills you can use?

deep breathing, imagery, putting in your earbuds and going for a walk? anything?

I'm sorry it's already such a stressful time. Is there any way to get space from them? Can you strike off on your own or opt to stay in the room while they are out?

I don't know your family and what works with them. I am wondering if you tell them that their behavior is harmful and hurtful and must stop that if that would work or make things worse. They have to be made to understand that having fun at your expense is not good and constitutes bullying and won't be tolerated. I wish you well.

I try to get away but there is only so much space you can get in a house with 10 people.

My family doesn't know about my depression so that is part of the problem.

I spent 5 days in a van and hotels last weekend with my family. They know all about my depression and are supportive and understanding but it is still hard. I was pretty depressed the whole trip and it is hard when they are all having a good time and want to do things and I only want to sleep. Especially with the young ones. All they know is that something is wrong with uncle zinco but don't know what.

You may consider telling them.

For the remaining of the trip it will be difficult. I would try and go out for a jog or a walk if you cant get away on your own have a good cry in the bathroom to relieve some tention, have a long bath with a book and candles, maybe go swimmimg i find swimming relaxes me even if you dont go on your own, you can still get some space from them. When you get home maybe see your doctor if you havent already, see if you can get dome medication and therapy. Good luck. Also keep coming on here when you get a chance.

My sister and I have fought everyday so far. She said she hopes my kids treat me like **** when I get old because I don't get along with our father. I think I will be using Xanax for the rest of the trip to get by.
