There must be something wrong with me I've been rejected by "friends" who I've known for years and who I trusted? What is trust? Is there anyone left in this cruel world who cares about anyone but themselves? People IRL seem not to like the fact that I'm a bear

There must

((((((( Fuzzybear! )))))))

Losing friends is frequently traumatic. The loss can be of several types: loss by rejection, loss by withdrawal of one or both sides, loss by fade, etc.

Friendship inherently involves risk. Managing the risks can be taxing. Avoiding the risks often means loneliness.

Those who don't like bears are missing out.
You are a most wonderful, marvelous bear!

I've experienced something like this in my life...it's a betrayal, and that is just a really terrible feeling to experience. In my situation I listened to a friend and invested in a business; while that same business works for my friend, it does not work for me; now I'm depressed, and I haven't heard from that friend for several months. I feel so alone...just so you don't feel alone, you're not crazy. People have this tendency to just care about themselves - and it's a shame. Sorry that you're going through this...

Hi Fuzzy, I am sorry you've been treated that way but why not something wrong with them instead of with you?? Perhaps it's more their problems of whatever sort which led to the rejection, but either way.........it's their loss!!!
And as for trust, well when you manage to trust successfully it can be so worth it.........and (although not everyone) there will be people in life who will respect and honour that. And the few who don't.............well they're not worth losing the trust in people you can/will be able to trust, for.
And this!! : "Is there anyone left in this cruel world who cares about anyone but themselves?" We're real you know!! . And we care about you!!!!
So got to be some of us IRL, yes??
And if some people don't like bears, well you just be yourself and be proud of yourself because there will be plenty of people out there who DO like bears.

I don't understand people, Fuzzy. I prefer animals. They are straightforward and rarely manipulative. (They can be a little deceptive for survival reasons.) I'm sorry you were hurt by people IRL. Seems the way of things. It's not your fault.

((Fuzzy))

I have lost a friend that I thought of as the sister I never had. So I know of the pain that you speak of. It hurts but it lessens in time. Like Rohag said, those that don't like bears are missing out! It's their loss.

I'm so sorry fuzzy. I am going thru something so similar to this IRL. I had a friend at work who was like a sister to me. She was promoted to a supervisor and let her sense of authority go to her head. Now she has turned on me hard in a nasty and cruel way. It does really hurt. I also agree that people who don't like bears are missing out. You are one of the nicest, most wonderful people I have ever met and I am proud to be your friend.
