This is the second time this has happened in a year. The last time I was off my medications, I ended up in the hospital due to an attempt. My doctors, however, don't seem to think it is a problem to not put refills where there can be, and that throwing me on and off my medication is just FINE and SAFE. Even though they came to see me on the ward I was on last time.

It's all such wonderful timing, too. My family is packing up and moving in 25 days because of ridiculous reasons, and I am losing my whole life here which is frustrating and scary. But I don't have the means to live alone (physically disabled/chronically ill) so I am following.

I can't even pick myself up when I lay down. Which no one seems to notice or, when they do, I brush it off as me trying to settle pain down.

I can't take St.Johns wart but are there other natural methods that have helped with depression? I take vitamin D everyday which has helped, B12, etc. I'd rather get some chemicals in my body right then end up back in the psych ward for another month and then another month of partial.

I do not understand why your doctors did this but I would call them and explain your situation. I would tell them you are moving and that you will need enough medication to tide you over for the relocation. You should also ask for a referral to a pdoc in the area where you will be moving to. It seems to me you should not be left without necessary medication. I do hope you can get everything you need taken care of. Best of wishes.

It's just faulty record keeping on their end. I mean I know my klonopin isn't going to ever be on a refill. But zoloft isn't controlled and my doctor seems to always forget to add refills and then constantly sets my next app to months later, no matter how I call and plead.

I'll do that, though. I am not moving to what is considered a ~mental illness friendly~ area, but I will see what they can do and suggest. Thank you!

That is crazy to not get standard refills. For me even klonopin I don't need an appointment for, the pharmacy just calls it in and gets a fax. It is malpractice really for that to happen to you. I would be raising all kinds of hell.

To your question you may try 5htp to replace the Zoloft.

Sleepy time tea and valerian roof for anxiety.

Your doctor seems to be an idiot or a psychopath. I have met both kinds, it seems like they are sometimes drawn to jobs where they can mess people up.

Going on and off an antidepressant is not just unsafe, it will render it useless in the long run. But yea I know the deal, I don't have heaploads of luck when it comes to doctors either. And sometimes you can call and cry on the phone and they will basically laugh at you or tell you YOU did something wrong when in fact they messed up.

It ticks me off to no end when people hurt others, and it ticks me off even more when they get paid plenty to hurt others.

Thank you for the tips zinco! I will look into it tomorrow morning.

Yeah jimi, pretty much both of those assumptions put together. I need to go in once a month for med checks, meaning she needs to see if I am hooked to klonopin (which I'm not) and has to pretend to write my script for zoloft (bloody zoloft) and then ends up screwing it up. And getting in to see her is a nightmare.

Hope she enjoys coming to see patients in the psych ward because she'll be seeing me there again if she doesn't get her act together. ugh.

You know about avacado's and mangos and grapefruit and such are good in elevating mood too, right? I've eaten those before the last time I went off my meds, which I may have to go back on again, but that's another matter. I hope your pain subsides and you feel better and make it through the move ok!

I took rhodiola for years. I took 500 mg daily. I only stopped because I starred taking an ssri. Also, kava-kava works well for anxiety. The tea is the safest, and is strong enough to work (brewed 10min).

I also like 5-htp. I took it for a while, but I liked rhodiola more.

Take care, grey.
