I feel like I'm faking it at work. Masquerading around like everything is under control. While my mind seems to me able to handle less and less work and less and less stress

Usually a sanctuary, I'm feeling burned out. Wishing spring break wasn't three weeks away. I'm taking the kids away

I'm feeling the downward spiral...

I know the things I should be doing, but have no motivation in doing them.

I'm pretty much sitting in my office trying to make it until 5 p.m. wishing I didn't have to come back tomorrow.

Yes, I have an appointment with P-doc on Monday.

I know that feeling well. That's why I quit my job. Now I don't have one. And the things I know I should be doing I can't get myself to do. I hate feeling fake. I can't stand it. I'm too blunt with people to put up with that for long.

I don't know your situation well, so I'm not sure if relating to you helps or not.

Hi Direction,
I'm sorry you're feeling like you're losing your sanctuary. I've read some of your responses to people and you have a great way of writing your posts and helping people. I wish I could do the same for you in turn but I don't have your kind of skill.
I can only hope that you find your peacefulness again. Maybe you're just tired and you need a vacation, in your post you sound like you're anxiously awaiting spring break to come-that's bound to make anyone feel a little distracted.
I hope you feel better before you see your p-doc on Monday-Monday seems like a long way away. Masquerade If not, you have us here to try and help.
((((((Direction))))))) -You're going to be fine, try to hang in there.

Seeing that you have so many more posts then me - your comments mean a lot. It seemed like I was a thread killer.

Hopefully my comments have been helpful...

This is a very trite response and I'm sorry for that, but my t always tells me this when I say I'm feeling fake, and therapy is fake too.....

"Fake it until you make it"

She says this, it kinda pisses me off more, but her theroy is if we fake it, we one day make it and buy into the act....

{{{{{{Direction}}}}}}} sorry you're feeling so bad. It's a shame that we have to put on that happy face when everything inside of us is screaming the exact opposite. I understand what you're going thru.......hopefully spring break will bring you some peace of mind. Till then, try to hang on.
