I abruptly stopped taking my meds. It has been about a week. I have always had suicidal ideation but these past few days it has been worse, can it possibly be because I stopped taking the medication?

Yes. What meds did you stop? It could be withdrawal. Not a good idea to stop abruptly. You should taper down slowly with a doctors care.

Most likely it's the meds. Take it as a sign that combo worked for you.

20, I agree that it might be the medication. Especially if you built a dependency on it. Maybe you should talk to your doctor to see if anybody else has had similar experiences when quitting their meds, and what they did to help them through their journey. Either way, just keep hanging in there. You are already strong to be able to handle quitting meds
