I think it can be very helpful to post here, sharing my concerns and seeking help.

I feel like it's a good place to come and get things off my chest. I tend to participate more in the Daily Check Ins and I do some replies. I rarely ever start a thread. If I started threads more often, I'm sure a lot more would reply to me.

The one fault I can say about here is that it seems like a thread goes into a second page in a matter of no time. Which makes it lost in just a short time.

I think it's a good tool for recovery. Most of us have things we can't or won't share with the people IRL that we need to get out. Also, I'm finding a great benefit in reading how other's are struggling with and fighting against depression and realizing I'm not facing this alone.
Thanks for this!

Idiot17, do you feel like posting has been helping you? Reading other peoples' posts and maybe commenting on them makes me feel less alone, less isolated. Posting hasn't helped me as much, but it has helped some.
Thanks for this!

I feel like I'm having real conversations here, which we are. And even though I'm new, I know that sooner than later I'll start to recognize regular posters a maybe even build a friendship.

I did that on a car forum I used to be active on. But I kind of quit going to it, probably because of that whole depression making you lose interest in things deal.

But I'm glad to be here now.

Any time you want to make a long post I'll be happy to read it, if I don't respond, pm me to make sure I saw the thread.

I am new to pc, like 2wks, but i find it helpful. Sometimes I'm lost, can't figure out my feeling and I read a post-and I think-shazam-that's it, that's me. Then reading responses will help me feel not alone but also more likely to try coping measures others have tried.***when maybe before reading it, I was just too depressed, thinking why bother. Don't give up idiot 17. Maybe try reading many different forums and you might find something clicked for you. Hang in there, hugssssss

I found this forum a few months ago and this has been a very helpful tool in my toolbox that I know. I believe it was "morganjane" that said it very well up above. Also for me personally I have made a connection with one individual that getting her feedback has helped tremendously at times so I am thankful for that.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
