So I went to my counselor today. I go with the hope that she will help me feel better. Well today I finally opened up to her about my sleeping problems and being unable to focus and how anxious I am all the time. I thought it was that I am still transitioning into the college/adult life style. Well, to just make mattes worse, she told me that I might have an anxiety disorder. Ever since I heard about it, I have not been able to take my mind off of it. My whole family has had history of so many mental disorders that it makes me nervous. And then I try to tell my mother about it all and she said "oh cool" and walked away to talk to her "best friend" on the phone.

Sounds like denial. Parents are unfortunately really good at it.

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear she responded like that. You should talk to her about it more and let her know that hurt you.

Cymbalta, 60mg -- for the depression.
Latuda, 40mg -- for the paranoia (delusional type).
Adderall, 40mg XR & 5 mg reg -- for the ADD.
Xanax, .5 mg as needed -- for the anxiety.
Topamax, 50mg -- still figuring this one out.

MDD, but possibly have some form of Bipolar Disorder. Then again, I could be paranoid . . .

Well, at least I still have my sense of humor.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry your mom responded to you that way. In my mind there is nothing "cool" about an anxiety disorder. Rather, I would think it is a difficult thing. Hoping things get better for you. Do you have another responsible adult family member that you can trust to talk to? When I was a teen/college age person I used to go to my aunt sometimes to discuss things I did not feel comfortable talking to my parents with. Best of wishes.
Thanks for this!

Maybe tell the counselor you would much rather focus on what you are dealing with and how to help it rather than a label. T's and pdocs love labels to put things in a neat little box. They have a useful purpose but what is important is getting better.
