I'm tired of hearing about kids committing sucide I wish I could do some thing for them I have been there so many times in my life and now at my age it has damage so much in my life and yes I do know they are suffering a new gernration but sucide is sucide tha pain is still the same and all the pain I was pull back I could teach these kids alot or atlease listen to what they want to say and know days thats one of the problems there is no one around to listen to these so they take easy way out will I tell you it wasn't easey all 10 times I ytied so I finally gave up found conseling and been on meds but it is still an every day stuggle I had 6 surgeries on my left should and my wife just had total hip replaement and plus I am on Disability for Depression and pain for the last 7 years I just can't beat so I deal with it but so wish I could some reach out to these kids the last was just a week ago and he was a close friend of my grand daughter he was 13 well I geuss I will just keep on reading and if a kid needs help I will there him or her 24 / 7 thats the best I can do

Hello, Lonestar53, and welcome to Psych Central! I am sad to hear about young people committing suicide, too. They really have no sense many times of what life is all about--and sometimes the inability to keep things in perspective.

Perhaps there is some sort of volunteer work you could do to help out.

You're a strong person to have been through what you have been through and it sounds like you are really good with kids.

Thanks everyone I talked with my grand daughter and we have a understanding with her and her friends and thiers parents that if she or her friends feel the depression sucide comes over them they should call any time 24/7 as I deal with mine I will try and help these kids with theirs in any way I can
