I saw a post on twitter saying " I think many people simply kill themselves to stop the debate about whether they will or won't." This is exactly how I feel. The constant debate in my mind drives me crazy and I just wish it would stop.

I am not sure that is true but I know how you feel. Sometimes those thoughts have been comforting like I had a back up plan. Sometimes they just drive me crazy because of that debate. When the debate is happening it is probably more serious because one is actually contemplating following through. It is such a giant step to actually follow through though. Maybe that is why the debate is frustrating. You could make a decision to never act on the thoughts and end the debate but then that takes away the back up plan.

I never exactly got to the debate stage but I was thinking about it a lot and the thoughts scared me. I had a particular thought about the method. This was why I finally ended up in the hospital and it has been better since then. I know how hard it is to remember that there are people who care for you and want you around (I was telling myself other people would be better off without me), but please do remember it and do what you need to do to protect your life.
