Ok. So finally i went to the doctors.

He said he 'suspected' the i suffer from S.A.D (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

He wasn't much help really, he said he would refer me to someone else, but i said don't bother. I don't want to get stuck in a game of being thrown back and forth between different doctors.

Finally though i have something that i can try and treat, i am looking at investing in a S.A.D Lightbox. Has anybody else got a light box? Is there a certain type you would recommend? How effective are they?

Regards,
Sam

Hi Sam! S.A.D

There are several members here who use light boxes. They are a good thing! Check out all of them, as they come with different bells and whistles (so to speak) but ones with timers and portability, if in your price range, are really good imo. TC

Thanks _Sky. Positive as usuall S.A.D I have been checking them out online, they seem a bit expensive, but if that is what it takes to get out of this hole, then that is what it takes.

Thanks again S.A.D

Don't forget to check "Amazon" as they have several and customer reviews, etc. They seemed to have some less expensive ones:

Yeah, i took a look S.A.D Still a bit out of my price rane, especially if i add the cost of shipping it to the UK.

I guess i'll have to save up a bit, i have been ok without it this long, i'm sure i can go that little bit longer S.A.D.

Thanks Perna

I got a lightbox after a recommendation from my pdoc. I have bp & seem to have more depression in the winter months, esp. after moving to the midwest from Calif. I think I got it from "Northern Lights" website for about 250 bucks. I use it for 20-30 min. daily, but I also take meds so it's hard to differentiate what is doing what to my mind!--Suzy
