I don't know what to do with the holiday season coming up....Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years...This is a time when everyone is "happy" and spending time with family and friends and celebrating. I'm not looking forward to any of it. In fact....it makes my depression and thoughts of suicide even worse for me. I don't want to hear people talk about how great their lives are. It's even worse when people ask me how my life is and what I'm up to because I have nothing to say and it turns out to be awkward. I don't want to be the person who with the depressing aura and make everyone feel uncomfortable or what not. I would rather just disappear.

For the last half of my life the holidays have not been that great. I liked the time off and work that slows down. But that's it. It feels lonely to not have someone to spend the holidays with.
What's really bad for me is that the holidays used to be so nice. There was getting out of school and being with family, when the relationship was fairly good. At least it got good at the holidays. Not any more. |
