hmmmmm

Thats a tough one for me, as I have many songs I listen to when I am angry, but it depends on the level of anger I am feeling!!

Since I don't allow myself to show anger, listening to songs that convey it for me-- can help me feel a bit better.

Here's some of the one's I listen to:

"Mudshovel" by Staind .... What song do you like to crank when you are angry? "you can feel my anger, you can feel my pain, you can feel my torment driving me insane" What song do you like to crank when you are angry?

"Lateralus" by Tool .... What song do you like to crank when you are angry? "push the envelope- watch it bend" What song do you like to crank when you are angry?

"Keep Away" by Godsmack .... What song do you like to crank when you are angry? "Never misunderstand me, keep away from me" What song do you like to crank when you are angry?

Well, there's a few ...... hope I don't seem too demented! What song do you like to crank when you are angry? What song do you like to crank when you are angry?

What are some of your songs?

Almost anything by AC/DC -- their lyrics are reprehensible, but they make good music to scream to!

"You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrissette, although that one I save for the person who did to me whatever somebody did to her that made her write it.

"I Do" by Lisa Loeb is a good revenge song, although it's a little too poppy to be angry to.

I agree, great thread! What song do you like to crank when you are angry?

People here have already mentioned some of my favorites. One that has not been mentioned is "I'm NOT Angry Anymore" by Elvis Costello. At least I think that's the name of the song. That whole CD is good, "Welcome to the Working Week," "Allison" and "Waiting for the End of the World" are some other good ones on that CD. Crank up and sing LOUD!! ditto to what Talullah said...

but actually, I guess I don't turn to music anymore when I'm angry. I went through a very dark period when I was getting divorced, listened to WAY too much Tori Amos, and eventually found that music was keeping me stuck in pain.

I do, however, listen to the same music (Orbital and the Chemical Brothers are really doing it for me at the moment) when I need to kick myself into overdrive, for instance while exercising.

It's all adrenaline, I guess

Lmo, I'm kinda wondering if I'm doing that too......keeping myself there with Tori, it fuels me often...

My t says she thinks I need to cut back on her, lol, and she wants to write a book on her links between types of clients/patients who listen to her.

But music really speaks to me...in all moods

when i'm really angry, i just lock myself in my car and drive aimlessly while blasting music.

linkin park-crawling
trapt-headstrong
greenday-american idiot
my chemical romance-i'm not okay

anything that's very loud, with angry music. eventually so much anger through singing along vents and almost desensitizes whatever anger was there in the beginning.

and i must add to what the others have said...this is really a great post! *kudos*

I listen to these songs... and sometimes Hakuna Matata from Walt Disney, or happy songs to calm me down... but the following I listen to when I'm alone so I don't have to calm down.. and a lot of others.

Flogging Molly - with another bag of bricks
Björk - army of me
Kaizers Orchestra - Hevner valsen
