Here's a list of mantras and slogans I created to help remind me to stay positive, calm and focused. Please add what helps you to the list, too!

Breathe
One Thing at a Time
Reach Out
Stay in Touch
Eat Well
Live in the Moment
Let the Sun Shine In
Positive Self-Talk

This is what I use to stay in control:

One day, one hour, one minute
No one else defines you
It's okay to fall down

A few that come to mind are:

You will survive
Always learn from your experiences
You have been through this before
This is only a temporary feeling

I don't really have one, but I have songs I play... or I just sing the lyrics. Lately "Like Steve McQueen all I need's a fast machine, and I'm gonna make it alright." Yeah it's silly, but makes me feel better.

I read these and realized I am doing the exact opposite of each.

I am grateful to be an irresistible magnet for miracles, love, and fortune!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
I am beautiful, I am worthy, miracles await me!
The best is yet to come.
Jesus loves me!
I am the light of the world, I must let my light shine!
Ramble on!
I am grateful for my able body and all that it does for me!
I am a success mechanism!
I am programmed for success!
Beauty is a state of mind!
It is what it is!
What if I succeed???? ?!
I love myself!

Living in the moment is a huge one for me. I see others as well.

This one came to mind again recently.....

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Stop to assess your situation, Breathe twice and calm your emotions, Pick the most glaring problem, Solve it and then Repeat

What thought the radiance which was once so bright Be now forever taken from my sight For nothing can bring back the hour Of splendour in the grass Of glory in the flower..

I don't have a mantra as such. What I do is clench, take deep breaths and attempt to repress thoughts and feelings. However, my counselor's told me this is a bad idea but I am just too scared and unprepared to dwell on the already omnipresent negativity. Stuckkkkk...

For me, I don't look upon it as repressing thoughts and feelings, but developing the ability to take a break from them to enable myself to develop some perspective. There is no point in allowing situations to keep going around and round. I find that becoming aware of my posture, and aware of how I am relating to my environment through my senses, gives me some much needed inner silence and peace. Letting go of your negativity is no bad thing. Sure, some problems only get worse if ignored, but a surprising number of things we worry about evaporate like mist when you release them.
