Struggling and need some help. Now that the holidays are almost over I am hoping that my depression will get better, during this time of year things get really bad but don't always get better. I am praying this year is different and with the change in medication things will get better.
I struggle to get through the day, the only time I can get out and do something is when someone makes me otherwise I have motivation to leave my room. I have days that I rather sleep the day away or just disappear from reality. Most of my days I feel deeply depressed. I have no one in my family to talk to about it and I see my therapist every other week, so I only get to talk to someone about twice a month. I have no friends either, so no support group. I am alone in everything I do.

Jegsu01, sorry to hear you are feeling down about your situation.

Having motivation is something that we must find within. For me reaching out to people like myself facing challenges also helps me to take my own problems less seriously.

Why not make PC your support group. There are forums, and live moderated chats and articles. If you need help finding these please let us know.

Hi jegsu01. I hope you start feeling better after the holidays. I always enjoy Christmas but sometimes New Year's is hard. We are here to support you. I understand how depression can be a beast.

Thanks for the invite. I have been looking around at the different things on this site and they do seem to look helpful. I really haven't got into anything much lately, but when I was on this site before everyone seemed helpful. Maybe this time I will stay with the forums and not shy away when things get bad or even better. Again thank you for the help

Jegus01, I'm so sorry you are suffering so much. I have suffered from depression, too. I find posting on Psychcentral to be very helpful. I hope you continue for post and encourage you to make friends. That way when you are needing to talk to someone you have an outlet. I hope you feel better soon.

i do relate to a lot of what you have said.
remember not to push yourself. you are very much worth living, and you are also fragile and need some care at this difficult time.
