So I have not been diagnosed with depression but I am sure I have it. I'm not sure what type I have but it is obvious. Anyway on this article someone commented about their son being very aggressive and having ocd tendencies and more and that a drug called Ketamine cured it and I have a lot of the stuff she says...anyway here's the article http://tinyurl.com/ketaminearticle Keep in mind I have never taken meds for depression, and also I'm not sure my therapist can prescribe medication so I don't know how this would work out if I had to be prescribed this. I do have ADHD and take meds for that though.

I know people that have successfully used ketamine. Its not a 'magic bullet' type of cure or anything. They reported to me improvements in their condition. I have in fact used it. I managed to get a hold of some from someone that was in a ketamine trial for treatment resistant depression. Maybe i just did not get enough but what I did have was not successful. I dont know maybe this will be edited but I injected mine intramuscular. I remained suicidal. I remained depressed. There are a lot of things I have tried to get a grip of this terrible illness.

I'm sorry for your experience.

It is being used in clinical practice but not wide spread. I think it is still experimental. Someone came out with a nasal spray for it to avoid injections. If you had a doc willing to try it I am not sure what they would have to do. There are studies on it.

im on adhd med too. without it, i end up getting severely depressed, and even antidepressants wont help. im not sure why, but both an antidepressant and an adhd stimulant seems to work great for me and my depression...
that word looks familiar to me, but nothing is linked to that word in my brain. lol
thanks for sharing!

Yes, this is true with me on Lexapro and adderal. I know a guy who is just depressed but won't take an antidepressant. He abuses adderral for depression, so it's not a good idea unless a person has adhd.
