I get them during my worst depressive episodes. I usually see shadows that almost look like people zooming by, or hear what sounds like conversations or music in the distance. I generally know they're not real, but they still frighten me and leave me feeling scared.
I'm not sure if these are the same kind you deal with, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone. ![]()

Very similar to what I see. Shadows, like human silhouettes, but also real people with strange traits (like no hair, very big eyes, red skin). I sometimes see so many of these "shadows" and hear so many confused voices I think I must be in hell. I hear conversations in the distance but sometimes even people screaming or clearly talking to me. I also feel like someone's touching me like one would do to make you come round after you fainted I don't know if I make sense.
Thank you very much ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I haven't had them myself, you guys might be interested or reassured by a couple of talks I've seen. One By Robin Murray:
Robin Murray - 100 Years of Schizophrenia: Is This Enough? | Mad In America He says, among other things, that 9% of the UK population reported psychotic experiences or beliefs and most of these were not troublesome. This happens to lots of people. This talk by Whitaker is also interesting ![]() |
